Established in 2010, the Hispanic Technology Center garden was initially started by Master Gardeners and Scott Tucker. Scott has been, and continues to be, a sole caretaker of the space. He comes from a family of gardeners and says gardening comes very natural to him. He established a relationship with the Hispanic Technology Center through tax services and the Spanish courses. Scott feels that his on-site garden and construction work, which is volunteer, is his way of giving back to the center. Currently there are collards, cauliflowers, cabbage, kale, swiss chard, zucchini, thai chiles, tomatoes, squash, beans, broccoli, bell peppers, jalapenos, blueberries, and much more growing at the garden.
The future for the garden is to continue to improve the neighborhood and provide food for the local population.
