Each summer, the Food Garden Tour celebrates the hard work and success of food gardeners all over the city. Tour participants are invited to visit garden projects by bus or bike. The tour concludes with a celebration with food, music, and conversation. The Edible Flint Food Garden Tour is supported by area businesses and individual donors.

Nominate a Food Garden!Nominate yourself, your neighbor, your community garden or church garden to be a stop on the 2022 Edible Flint Food Garden Tour.
Gardens considered for the Food Garden Tour MUST be nominated. All gardens nominated must be located within 8 miles of the center of the City of Flint and grow at least 50% edible produce plants. There is no limit to the number of gardens you nominate, you can even nominate your own garden! Please submit all nominations by 11:59PM EDT June 10, 2022. |
As garden nominations roll in, edible flint prepares to start the evaluation process. Every year tons of gardens in the Flint area are nominated for the Food Garden Tour.
Listening to what the gardeners had to share is a completely unique learning experience. These gardeners in Flint and surrounding towns are very passionate and motivated to do what they do. It is truly inspiring.

By hosting the Food Garden Tour members of Genesee County and neighboring areas not only become more inspired to grown some of their own food, but also are able to see Flint from a new perspective that is not commonly portrayed in the media.
