Each summer, the Food Garden Tour celebrates the hard work and success of food gardeners all over the city. Tour participants are invited to visit garden projects by bus or bike. The tour concludes with a celebration with food, ice cream, music, and conversation. The Edible Flint Food Garden Tour is supported by area businesses and individual donors. Market Tap will be creating delicious Michigan made cocktails, beer and wine. Cash bar available after the tour returns to the market. Bella's Concessions & Catering will be serving up dinner and a scoop of Ice Cream from SoS Pizza & Icecream are included with your ticket! Kids 16 and under are free with accompanied guardian. |

2026 Garden Nominations are now closed.
As garden nominations roll in, edible flint prepares to start the evaluation process.
Every year tons of gardens in the Flint area are nominated for the Food Garden Tour.
All gardens nominated must be located within 8 miles from the center of the City of Flint and at least 50% edible plants.
There is no limit to the number of gardens you nominate, you can even nominate your own garden!

St. Luke's N.E.W. Life Center Garden supported by Flint Fresh

Urban Renaissance Center Community Garden
This example of transforming vacant lots into productive sources of healthy food serves as a beacon of hope for communities affected by population loss and blight. Sylvestor Manor Apartments Garden
This community garden is managed by neighbors. The different beds belong to different people and showcase different gardening styles and techniques growing fruit, veggies, herbs, and pollinator-friendly plants. |
Sproutside - Flint Children's Museum
Sproutside offers a secure natural exhibit area where children experience the great outdoors with educational programs, physical activities, messy art projects, or even a picnic lunch with their family or classroom. Denny Nichols Memorial Garden - Carriage Town Ministries
The Denny Nichols Memorial Garden at Carriage Town Ministries provides not only food, but an opportunity to learn gardening skills.
