Purpose
The purpose of the Evaluation workgroup is to assist edible flint workgroups to celebrate the progress and success of edible flint.
Goals
The Goals of the Evaluation workgroup are:
Assist edible flint and other workgroups with evaluation through development of tools,
providing examples/samples of evaluations and act as a resource to other workgroups in
consultation on evaluation;
Compile information/disseminate information on edible flint outcomes;
Analyze data gathered including summaries of statistics or further analysis on request
OR provide a connection to other evaluation resources (e.g. resource at University of
Michigan Ann Arbor for statistical analysis);
Keep data together for grant processes and act as a resource for data when needed.
Our Process
We work in consultation with other workgroups at their request to develop tools or consult with outside help on evaluation.
History
The Evaluation workgroup grew out of an observed need to gather and report data about the work of edible flint. In 2011, the Evaluation workgroup developed a set of goals including the production of an annual report and a set of guidelines for interacting with other workgroups.
Evaluation meetings are held:
2nd Thursdays from 8:00am - 10:00 am in Steady Eddy’s Café, 420 E. Boulevard Dr.
(2nd floor of the Flint Farmers Market).
