The Leadership Board acts as the steward of the mission of edible flint by providing financial oversight, developing sound policies and helping to support the work of work groups and participants.
Members are selected to represent work groups and to serve from the membership at-large at the annual meeting. Members are affirmed by the participants and agree to serve on the board.

By-Laws and Policies
In 2012, edible flint submitted corporate documents to the State of Michigan to become incorporated which is the first step to create a non-profit organization. In October 2012, we finalized our application to the Internal Revenue Service to be recognized as a nonprofit organization - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In order to take these steps, we created by-laws and we continue to create policies that govern our organization. edible flint received their 501(c)(3) status March 2014.
